The Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires that all employers have a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) which assesses hazards in the workplace and identifies control measures to eliminate or mitigate those hazards.
The HSMS includes policies and procedures that are reviewed & enforced with workers and by supervisors, also they must be approved and reviewed by senior management on an annual basis.
Providence can assess existing HSMS documents, identify deficiencies, and ensure that the health and safety program is company specific.
Our review will determine if existing documents should be revised, or if new documents (Health and Safety Manual, Policy Statement, Safe Work Practices, Safe Operating Procedures, reference documents, etc.) are required.
